About the Artist – Shelley Irish
I am a painter and teacher living in Denver, Colorado.
My oil paintings are executed in classic realism and contemporary expressive techniques. I offer my paintings as meditations on existence. I employ expressive light, color and symbolism to create paintings that bring invisible, abstract concepts into physical reality. While earning my MFA I learned Master’s Technique in the Louvre Museum in Paris and have since employed this technique and it’s sensibilities in all of my work.
